Advanced Query for GBIF occurrence data

If this is your first time using the Advanced Query please read the user notes.

The advanced query allows you to create different three dimensional objects in Google Earth to represent the year of collection (in decades) and the coordinate precision, if supplied. The year of collection is generally provided and the degree of coordinate precision (in meters) is available for some records only. GBIF recommends to test for the availability of coordinate-enabled records for each taxon before using the Advanced Query.

1. GBIF Taxon

2. Range by Years - set color, opacity and shape of figures

Click on the palette icon Click Here to Pick up the color in each table row to change the default colors.

Opacity % (100% is solid color, values less than 30% are essentially invisible)

3. Coordinate precision - set width and height of the figures

Figures with greater precision will be narrower and stand higher from the Google Earth surface.
