GBIF Logo for Google Earth
Download the GBIF Logo for the Google Earth client.
The GBIF logo covers the entire planet in Google Earth. The GBIF logo is attached to the planet's surface so that other objects such as GBIF occurrence records will still be visible.
This logo makes a great *screensaver* for use on your own computer and at scientific conventions:
- Turn on the GBIF World folder.
- Press the F11 function key on your keyboard to view the Google Earth viewport at full size.
- Use your mouse to slowly spin the planet.
The transparency of the logo can be adjusted.
- Put your mouse cursor over the GBIF World folder.
- Right-mouse click and choose Edit.
- Slide the Transparency slide bar for the desired transparency.
